Food Distribution Program

We serve families and individuals facing economic challenges, specifically those with low incomes, with food from our Emergency Food Assistance Program.

Clients are provided with 60-80 pounds of food each week

Clients are provided with shelf stable items, meat, dairy, fresh fruits and vegetables

Distribution Process

Food distribitions are by Appointment Only and Community
members pick up food In-Person.

General Information

  • Distributions are held: Every Friday from 8 AM - 10 AM.
  • Each Friday, there is a different group of clients who are scheduled to pick up food.
  • Clients need to be within service area to receive food.
    • Must live within the 1 st Supervisorial District, outside City of Los Angeles.

Registration Process

  • Registration in onsite.
  • Unhoused folks are welcomed and are not screened for service area requirements. (ID is preferred but not required)
  • Registration prior is required to receiving an appointment to receive food.
  • Once registered, you will receive an appointment for a selected Friday of the month to pick up food.

What to bring for Registration?

  • 3 months of income (paystubs; seniors may provide Social Security Award Letter, SSI, etc)
  • Electric or gas bill (utilized to prove residency)
  • Identification Card (preferred, not required)

  • We pass out numbers to ensure nobody is cutting the line.
  • We confirm that every single person in line has an appointment and is not a walk-in.

How do we receive our food?

  • We receive food donations from the LA Food Bank and through the Extra Helpings Program.
  • The Extra Helpings Program routes perishable and other donated food from grocery stores (such as Food 4 Less, Target, and Smart & Final) and other local sources directly to Food Bank partner agencies (Eastmont Community Center).
